SMOKED CARROTS WITH SEAWEED FLAKES
- 4 carrots
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill
- 2 teaspoons of seaweed flakes
- 2 teaspoons smoked salt or 1-2 teaspoons of liquid smoke with a few teaspoons of soy sauce.
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 4 tablespoons oil
Smoked carrots are well suited for sandwich covers, pastas, salads, spring rolls or for filling homemade sushi.
Preparation:
First, peel the carrots and bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour until the carrots are semi-soft. At the same time, prepare the marinade and mix all the other components. Once the carrots are chilled, slice into thin strips with a cheese or fillet knife. Mix the sliced carrots gently with the marinade (we recommend mixing by hand). Make sure everything is nicely covered with the sauce and leave to marinate in the fridge for 2 days. When making sandwitches serve with capers and pickled onions.
