What is selenium?

Selenium is a trace element that the body cannot produce itself – it has to come from food. Selenium is found, for example, in Brazil nuts, fish, seafood, eggs and wholegrain products. The selenium content of plant foods depends on the selenium content of the soil.

What selenium does

Selenium:

• contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress
• contributes to the maintenance of normal hair
• contributes to the maintenance of normal nails

Selenium in drops

The drops contain selenium as sodium selenate, dissolved in purified water. The liquid form suits those who prefer drops to capsules or tablets.

How to use

• Recommended daily dose: 10 drops in a small amount of water or juice, with a meal.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Purified water, citric acid, sodium selenate.

Per daily dose (10 drops): selenium 60 µg (109% of the Nutrient Reference Value).

Storage and warnings

• Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. After opening, keep refrigerated and use within 6 months.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
