Freeze-dried berries and berry powders

Centralsun’s selection includes whole freeze-dried berries, berry pieces and a variety of berry powders, as well as dried goji berries. Choose from strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, wild blueberry, sea buckthorn, cranberry, goji and mulberry products, along with camu camu and açaí powders.

Freeze-drying removes water from berries at a low temperature. The result is a light, shelf-stable product that retains the berry’s characteristic flavour, colour and aroma. Powders are easy to mix into foods, while whole berries and pieces can be enjoyed as a snack or used as a finishing touch.

How to use berry powders

Berry powders work well in smoothies, porridge, yoghurt and quark. Add them to pancake, muffin, biscuit and other baking mixtures, or use them in icing, creams, ice cream and desserts. Start with a small amount and add more to reach the flavour and colour you prefer.

Whole berries and berry pieces

Enjoy whole freeze-dried berries and berry pieces on their own or add them to muesli, porridge and yoghurt. They are also useful for decorating cakes, chocolate, desserts and drinks. Because freeze-dried berries absorb moisture from the air, close the package carefully after use and store it in a dry place.
