What is 5-MTHF?
5-MTHF or 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (methylfolate) is a form of folate (vitamin B9). In these drops it is present as (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt (Quatrefolic®). Folate is found naturally in, for example, green leafy vegetables and legumes.
What folate does
Folate:
- contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy
- contributes to normal amino acid synthesis
- contributes to normal blood formation
- contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism
- contributes to normal psychological function
- contributes to the normal function of the immune system
- contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- has a role in the process of cell division
How to use
- Recommended daily dose: 10 drops in a small amount of water or juice, for example at breakfast.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Ingredients
Purified water, (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt (Quatrefolic®).
Per daily dose (10 drops): folate 1000 µg as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (500% of the Nutrient Reference Value).
