GRILLED TOFU IN PINEAPPLE MARINADE
Quantity: for two or three
You will need:
- 300 g of harder tofu
- oil for grilling
For the marinade:
- a thumb-sized piece of ginger
- juice of 1 large lime
- 1 tsp Centralsun freeze-dried pineapple powder
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- up to half a teaspoon of chili flakes
- salt to taste
- 2-3 tbsp of water
Prepare as follows:
Press the tofu or pat it dry with kitchen paper. Cut into cubes or triangles.
Grate the ginger (you don’t need to peel it, just wash it well) and mix it with the rest of the marinade ingredients until smooth. Pour the marinade over the tofu and mix with your hands so that all the pieces are well combined with the mixture. Leave to season for a few hours or overnight.
Grill the tofu until streaky on an oiled griddle or grill pan and serve with a fresh salad or rice noodles.
Tip! Marinade also goes wonderfully well with tempeh.
